Schwinn Airdyne Exercise Bike

Schwinn Airdyne Exercise Bike

The Schwinn Airdyne bike is a totally unique concept in exercise bikes and has not been successfully duplicated by any other company over the past 20 years.

The Airdyne is a fan driven exercise bike that is commonly found in rehab facilities because of its’ low impact design and upper body handle bars that let the user incorporate arm motion into their workout.

The Schwinn Airdyne exercise bike isn’t for everyone. For starters there isn’t any heart rate monitor on this unit and no built-in programs either, so if you’re a complete newbie to fitness, or need more direction with tracking your workouts you should checkout the Schwinn 213 Recumbent as a better alternative.

Schwinn Airdyne Key Specs and Benefits

  • Battery operated stationary bike uses 2 AA batteries
  • Durable steel frame ensures quiet ride
  • Padded anatomic seat for added comfort and support
  • Dual-action handrail foot pegs to focus on upper body conditioning
  • Low step-over height makes mounting and dismounting easy
  • Height adjustable seat allows for a variety of users
  • Patented fan wheel technology creates a smooth air resistance system
  • Transport wheels for easy maneuverability
  • Footprint: 50 by 22.5 inches (L x W)
  • Maximum user weight: 300 pounds
  • Water bottle holder

Personally, I like the Schwinn Airdyne, and I’m not alone on that opinion. The Airdyne has enjoyed tremendous success and popularity that continues to this day.

If you’re looking for a good alternative exercise bike that will give you a total body workout, I think the Schwinn Airdyne is a winner.
